Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day! In the faith based blog post for the month of May I am going to talk all about LOVE. It sounds pretty basic, but recently I listened to a 'Whoa That's Good Podcast' episode that talked about loving vs. judging that really hit me and I thought I would share it with you!
In the podcast episode Bella Robertson quoted Billy Graham and said, "It's the Holy Spirit's job to convict, God's job to judge, and my job to love," and WOW did that hit me hard! Especially in this season of weirdness and stress do we need to only focus on loving others.
If you think about it, life is so much simpler if we only have to love. You don't have to think about what opinion to have about people or who to be nice to. Straight up love has the power to change the world, so let's make it! Think about it - how good do you feel when someone compliments you or holds open the door for you? It can make your day right?! So let's give some lovin' to those around us whenever we can!
Also, something I've been thinking about lately is that loving others is a choice we have to make! Loving others is definitely the hardest when we're mad at them or not in a good mood ourselves, and especially when we don't feel loved by others. That moment when we don't feel that others deserve to be loved by us is when love is the most powerful. Pray to God to give you serenity and compassion. Think about the Golden Rule, let's love others before they love us and see how much better the world is. And even if others don't respond kindly to the love you give, it still can't hurt. Maybe showing love when it doesn't make sense (like when there's a worldwide pandemic, haha) enough times will leave an impression on someone who really needs it.
Let's have some crazy faith when it doesn't make sense! 🤪
