January was such a fascinating month of transition and regrowth. I started my final five months in Savannah while saying goodbye to my family and saying hello to a surprise senior year.
This has been the quarter of weekend adventures! So much has happened already, as ever. Our first great adventure was early in the month when my friends and I road tripped to Tallahassee to spectate and photograph World Athletics Cross Country Championships. We got to watch some of the fastest folks in the world race on the course that we got to race earlier in the fall.
We then got to jump in the competition pool ourselves at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where I raced and got a new little 3k PR of 10:25. The big run of the month was my indoor track 5k in Gainesville the following weekend where I finally broke the 18 minute barrier and ran 17:52. I'm still in awe and so thankful and proud of this major achievement!! MLK Day in Savannah was powerful as ever and I had an awesome time taking photos and taking in the atmosphere. I also got to spend two days in Charleston, SC to be both a model and photographer's assistant for a commercial photoshoot for Swiftwick socks. It was a blast to get to be on a crew with some creatives I have mad respect for.
January started 2026 off strong with some major adventures and February is already proving to have even more adventures. Enjoy some highlights below!!
