2026 World Cross Country Championships

Today was one of the coolest days ever. I got up at 3:25am to drive four hours to Tallahassee, Florida to watch the best distance runners in the world compete at the World Cross Country Championships. It was such a fascinating and inspiring experience. Seeing so many professional runners reminded me how what they're doing is just like what we're doing... just much faster.

The atmosphere of this meet was unmatched and what made it even cooler was that it was at Appalachee Regional Park, which is the same course where I got to run the NAIA National Championship less than two months ago. Seeing the park transformed into a global stage was awe inspiring. Even cooler than that was seeing so many professional runners, coaches and photographers who I've admired from afar since middle school. Talk about lore!

Bringing one of SCAD's cameras and variety of lenses helped me to gain a new shooting experience and dip my toes into the professional running photography space. It was a thrilling challenge and some of my best results are below. I'm excited to continue playing with these photos in a few different mediums. Enjoy the results below!!
