A Winter Week in NEW YORK CITY!! (a vlog in the big apple & NYE) // Episode 127

📍Times Square, NYC

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend!! This week's video and blog post are about a very special trip to New York City I was lucky enough to have been able to take over New Year's. I spent the week with my best friend Anna who lives in Brooklyn, and we got to explore the city she knows so well. We ended up spending New Year's Eve in a hotel in Pennsylvania before I was picked up by my family the next day, so it was so fun to document the change of the year together!

One of my current dream jobs is to be a travel photographer, so I tried to document the trip as though I were such, which made it so fun to document these memories together.

New York City is obviously incredibly famous, and every time I've gone there (all 2 times, haha) I've been struck by the artistic energy that the city gives off! Normally, on vacation or on a day trip, I feel rather uncomfortable or conspicuous taking photos and filming in public, but both times I've been to NYC I feel none of that. Part of that is definitely because so many other people in the city are doing the same thing for the same reason, but it's also just such an artistic city filled to the brim with interesting people. I especially noticed this in Soho when Anna and I saw multiple groups of photographers and models taking photos in crazy colorful outfits, much like the two of us were doing!

After both times I've been there, I've been asked by many friends and family if I would ever consider living in the Big Apple, and I've decided that I would - but not for all of my life. I think a short stint there in young adulthood would be very cool to hopefully grow my business, meet influential people, and make friends, but it would be hard to live there forever, I assume. It's just such a unique place with so much history, and I am so thankful I got to visit again!!
