Bible Verses for Back to School Encouragement (in a pandemic) // Episode 109

These pictures were taken in Savannah, Georgia in July!

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day! This week's video and blog post are about some verses that have been encouraging me at the start of this school year (I start this Monday!) and what I've learned from them! These are some verses that I'm definitely thinking about when going into this school year with all of the craziness happening in the world.

Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

~ I love this verse because it gives such assurance that no matter what happens, what we do, what people say - God's goodness and mercy will follow us. It's a guarantee. God will always be with us and working the best for us, which may look different to you at times.

Colossians 3:23

Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as if you were doing it for the Lord Himself.

~ This is such a good reminder for me because at times, school can seem pretty frustrating. When you're having tests, homework, and assignments on material that you feel you'll probably never need again in your life it can be difficult to stay motivated. This verse reminds me that no matter how pointless certain work can seem at the time, anything done in the name of the Lord brings Him glory and praise.

Isaiah 41:13-14

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you,

Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you,”

declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

~ I find such comfort when the verse says, "who takes hold of your right hand and says to you," because it is so encouraging and emboldening to hear that God takes hold of our hands and talks to us personally! The Bible is a love letter from God to us, and He is talking directly to YOU!!! Not only can you not fear because the Savior of the world is helping you - but He's talking to you and standing with you.

Those are all of my current favorite back to school verses, so I hope you enjoyed and were encouraged by them!! Be sure to check out the video about these as well, and enjoy! ❤️📖
