Diving Deeper into 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 // Episode 64

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great Sunday! This week's video is all about this Bible verse...

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me.

Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ, for when I am weak, then I am strong."

- 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

HOW FREAKIN' COOL. Now if you read this once and don't actually think about it, these lines may not seem very important. But really think about it for a second - our weaknesses are made perfect in God. We have weaknesses that we can't do anything about and God provides for them! He makes us strong!

I thought about this a lot on the drive to the Philadelphia XC Championship and I feel like when you think a lot about a verse during a hard or stressful time, it can become really meaningful, and this verse really has.

Also, during the race I thought a lot about the phrase, "for when I am weak, then I am strong," because if you think about it, that verse really defies all logic. (much like God sometimes... hint hint, wink wink) Never in a science class has anyone ever been told that when they're weak then they'll be strong. But God does. He takes our weaknesses that we can't do anything about and He gives us His strength.

How beautiful!

We trade out our human weaknesses for the strength of a God who made the universe.

The next time you're in a hard situation - like a race - just think about that. What your body is going through is literally God's grace poured over you.

I feel like when I was making this video I may not have said everything in a very organized way so hopefully this inspires you in some way! Have a great day! <3
