Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great February so far! This week's video (and this blog post) is very meaningful to me, and it's all about my family experience at the March For Life in Washington, DC. It was our second time going with our church and it's always such an amazing experience. Just seeing so many people united for a peaceful and prayerful protest is so moving. I think the pictures below show it beautifully.
There's something so special about being one of tens of thousands gathered because of one belief, like anti-abortion. Hearing abortion survivor stories and stories just about life and how sacred it is is so powerful.
Psalm 139 says:
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How beautiful! God knew us better than we'll ever know ourselves before anyone else ever knew us. This is precisely why we MUST go straight to the Lord when in search of finding who we truly are. If you let society define who you are, you will never truly know who the Lord made you to be. He knows us better than we know ourselves but we STILL go to others in search of 'finding ourselves'. We STILL compare ourselves to other humans. We STILL find our worth in what others think of us.
I know that that isn't totally related to abortion or the march, but I think it's something that we can't hear enough throughout life. YOUR relationship with God matters in the end, not what your test grade was, or who your boyfriend was, or how many points you scored. YOUR relationship with the one who knew YOU before anyone else knew you even existed.
That was pretty heavy stuff! Now time to enjoy the video, LOL.
