August '26 Photo Journal

August! This month was crazy. June and July were fairly restful as I was at home focusing on my online summer classes, but it feels like I fit an entire summer of adventuring into just a few August weeks. This summer I've had the blessing of visiting a few friends in places I've never been before, and this started off with Toronto, Ontario and the Georgian Bay of Lake Huron in Canada. It was so gorgeous and full of nature that inspired me artistically. Next up was the Hudson Valley of upstate New York with my family, which was by far the most fun trip. We saw so much art and laughed so hard together. Finally I hit up Portland, Oregon to visit my friend David and photograph a professional track meet! It was thrilling and full. The PNW definitely has a piece of my heart.
During the last weekend of August my dad helped me move into my new home of Atlanta, Georgia, where I'll be spending the next few months of grad school at SCAD and running for the SCAD Atlanta XC/TF team. I'm only a few days in and it's been a massive change already with lots of adjustments and learning. While I know it's going to be hard, I'm excited to grow through this challenge, and learn what art I can make and stories I can tell here!
Enjoy some highlights of August below. I'm so thankful for all of it.
