2025: What. A. Year.
Is it really New Year's Eve if I'm not saying how wild the past year has been? First up: December. This December was spent mostly at home and I couldn't be happier about it. I did have the fun opportunity to take two different trips to New York City with one of my friends and then later, my whole family. I always leave NYC feeling inspired and these trips were no exception. I also got to make some fun art with my family, run a lot and see some snow at home in PA.
2025 was one for the books, of course. I experienced some of the biggest challenges of my life, but also some of the biggest blessings and joys. Lately I've been navigating some tricky life decisions including graduating early (more on that later!) and making big plans for next year. Sophomore year of college was beautifully hard and got me closer to figuring out what I want to do with my life and what feels the most creatively fulfilling. Junior/senior year has forced some major growth on me which is difficult but I often feel God's presence in my life the most during these types of times. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people and especially to be at a school that has become an artistic haven.
Lately I've been finding myself at the intersection of lots of spaces: art and athletics, comfort and discomfort, the known and the unknown. Life will forever be a balancing act and this year felt more adult than the previous few in that regard. I'm having to make big decisions and trust myself. It's scary but exhilarating and I am truly learning to trust God's journey.
Some constants through the changes were my incredibly loving and supportive family, a team of the strongest and most inspiring teammates, wonderful friends, old and new, and my trusty sketchbook and camera.
Highlights of this year are too many to name so I'll say I traveled to a few new states, one new country, made new friends, had one serious injury, one breakup, ran some PRs inside of a few thousand miles, made some cool new art and shot some of my new favorite photos that I'm proud of. 2025, thank you for everything!! 2026, bring it on. ❤️
