Mastering Casually Dressy

Hey everyone! How's your week going? I'm going to give some fashion advice here, because I was just thinking... and I haven't done a Fashion category post in a while. (And because I can't think of anything else to write about.) :)

Ok, so, this outfit is actually perfect for this post because you know, wearing an adult small t-shirt isn't really ever considered fashionable, am I right? (At least it isn't for me.)

I go to a private Catholic school where we have to wear uniforms every day except for two days per month, and one of those days is Spirit Day where we were all of our shirts that have the school spirit on it. That equals one day per month of fashionable dress... not that the uniforms aren't fashionable, but you know, I write a fashion blog and all so... yeah. I always live it up on Dress Down days and bask in the glory of whatever I want to wear, but not all people feel that way.

And I get it, if you don't care about fashion and comfortable is your middle name, go for it!

(But please read this first.) ;)

Personally, I know it can totally be a struggle to look nice but also be comfortable at the same time, and I feel like for a lot of middle/high schoolers the greater number of shirts you have are probably from a sports camp, or a VBS, or a sports event (you get what I'm saying) and those kinds of places never really think, "Oh, maybe someone here wants something that actually fits them and can be used other than a painting shirt. Hmmm.". Yeah, that doesn't happen much.

So instead of owning two dozen adult medium sized t-shirts that you only pull out when it's painting day at school, try putting it with pants or shorts, or even a skirt, that's not totally dressy but not like you're just chilling on the couch, you know? Something big and comfy can actually become stylish when put with something that I call "casually dressy".

Try it out sometime and tell me what you think.

*Also, remember, there will only be one post next week because of the BIG SURPRISE I'm planning! Get ready!
